    Project: 2N resurrection

Funny how throwing a bunch of parts at something fixes it. Well, sort of. I now have spark but the damn thing still will not start. I think it is a carb issue. I took it apart twice and blew it out, but still nothing. I used the one from my 9N because it was working fine. The one I rebuilt...

    Project: 2N resurrection

That is kind of what I was thinking as well. This "should" be the final step in getting thos old tractor back to work.

    I have not noticed any.

    Project: 2N resurrection

I finally broke down and bought new parts. I got everything for a good tune up. But before I install them I am concerned about the grooves in the cap. I understand that could be from excessive wear in the distributor. But could it also be from the cap getting installed incorrectly? Is it...

There is no such thing as a free tractor.

Looks like we will make another attempt in a couple weeks.

There is no such thing as a free tractor.

It has lower level outside access. I have been down the free horse road as well.

There is no such thing as a free tractor.

The thought crossed my mind. She was in my ear the whole time about it.

There is no such thing as a free tractor.

And I just hit the highlights.

There is no such thing as a free tractor.

A few months back I lost a cousin. He was a great guy and was taken from us far too soon. While we were up for the funeral his wife told me I should take his old Massy. I agreed and set forward on the plans to return with a trailer. Here is the catch though; he had taken it apart to do some work...

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

That sounds like a good reason. That is why I do not want it hot at the back of the truck all the time either.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

I should know better than to post from my phone and not read it. I meant why do I need the circuit breaker if I run all of the winch stuff separate from the truck's electrical system.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

if I run all of this independent from the rest of the truck still at school system why would I need the circuit breaker?

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

I believe that is the answer. I am glad I asked the questions. Now all I have to do is locate a suitable switch and a location to install it. The other issue is the fuse. I hope to find an empty spot in the stock fuse block. That will help with the OE look I am going for.

Simple, cheap and high output, jut how like my women.

    I like that idea.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

So much for that idea. So I have to look for a hotter solenoid.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

Good question. It is a stock starter solenoid for the same F250 I am installing everything on.

    Need input Magnum engines

I am weighing my options on which engine to stab into my 72 Dodge D200 build. I do not know much about the Magnums and I think I may want to use one to replace my original 318. I want this truck to be a daily driver and pull trailers. Reliability and fuel consumption are my priorities. Moe than...

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

I have a bunch of these lying around. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/CANDACE88G/2010-12-18_171620_ford_starter_solon_next.jpg Would that do the trick or is there a difference? It would be nice to use a stock piece.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

What type of solenoid should I use? Where in the line should the fuse be? In the wire to the switch? Or do I run a large one on the cable?

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

I look into the solenoid thing a bit further. I was trying to keep it simple, but a single power wire running into the cab sounds easier to install. If I do go that route, I am guessing I do not need a fuse.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

I want to keep it simple, but I do kind of like the idea of a small wire in the cab instead.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

I like that, it looks almost OE. That is kind of what I had in mind. I think if I install it correctly it will almost look like it came with the truck.

Need some help selecting a big cutoff switch.

The keyed switch s the style I normally use. But because this is going in the interior of my wife's truck, I wanted it to "blend" a bit better. I have looked at toggle switches but I could not find one that can handle that kind cable and power. The Flaming River stuff is nice. I have used many...
