Only thing i'm not sure about is whether i'm going to set it up with the pulley block... His boat+engine is 6300lb, figure with gear & gas probably around 7500lb; so the 4000lb single line rating should be able to handle an 8000lb boat without much trouble. The pulley block will make it even...
lol i thought some of you elder guys with boats would've had experience with these!!
I also need to get him the quick connect bumper harness.
I'll be doing the install...
If anyone's interested... I decided to go with the Powerwinch RC30 after talking to a buddy (who's actually a captain and has his own charter boat)

Hey guys... trying to size up my dads Christmas present for this year. I want to get him an electric boat winch. I've NEVER researched or bought an electric boat winch.
Im going to get exact specs on his boat... but I believe its a Four Winns, I think 24' and around 5000-6000 lbs and the...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
wow... that's a "top 10 cell phone screw up" right there.
I meant to say "get rid of the Liberty and get the wife a...." ....not sure what happened to the rest of That sentence!!
lol, the lights are definitely a conversation starter!!!
Tim's one of my close friends. He actually just picked up a 2 door JK Unlimited last night to replace that Grand Cherokee.... and his fiance has a 2005 WK with a 2" lift and larger tires as well. Now I just need to get rid of the wife...
Thanks guys.
These weren't available when I got the Spy's... if they were, i would've had them from the start.
Only thing I wish they had was a replaceable outer ring.
Thanks! Still waiting on Jim's post though.... if he can look at the pictures and not puke, then I know they're good :ohnoes:
My little dude LOVES working with me in the garage
Haven't been offroad since last winter. It's tough to escape, especially when baby #2 came this past...
lol I have faith.. hell, I don't even know what "pastel" orange is.
you definitely have the better eye for colors/matching/etc. My entire world is like a 16bit monitor setting.... I don't see much beyond the basic colors.
the silver/orange looks great..... but I'm not sure if I like that color combo for your truck. I know you want them to be visible and all.... but it reminds me more of an orange creamsickle which is the opposite of the somewhat dark/evil'ish persona of your truck.
....but maybe they'll look...
It's almost scary what they cost new
I like letting some yuppie lease it for two years, never drive it, then i pick it up for half the price and still basically brand new :D
