My 08 Ram stock had resonators before the muffler (just behind each cat) and one on the tailpipe (single pipe) pretty much right behind the rear tire. Facebook isn't letting me in right now and that's the only place I have pictures of that truck but I will see if I have any that show the rear...
How thick of a rope would you need for pulling cars or trucks? All I know about strength of Nylon is to check the charts for our lifting straps at work.
I understand that Chevy sells more trucks than GMC but I have never for the life of me understood why they are so adamant about competing with themselves. If it were me I would scrap the whole Chevy line of trucks and SUV's and make GMC the GM line of trucks but obviously that wouldn't sit well...
Bernie, I know nothing about it but I remember reading I believe on pirate that a lot of guys are switching to whatever they use to tie up boats because the elasticity helps with a snatch but it is still crazy strong. Do you have any info about that? I want something different for winter this...
Something about the ugly colors and gaudy scoops on the hurst makes me want one. Closest I will probably ever come was a few years ago I stopped to look at a 72 Cutlass supreme for $500.
Typically yes, come with the truck and box with the fancy lights and sirens hooked up. When we get ours we do decals, radios and stock the medical gear then it hits the road.
I was waiting for your comment on that.
Auburn just make sure you put some black rims on when you're rolling coal then just pray that you can outrun all of Jims guns
Edit: on topic I don't remember what year they started putting cats on but you will do better to get rid of the cats and...
Newer ones might sit different but my 08 could fit 35's stock. I hear ya on not wanting it too tall for those reasons, that's the only reason I ever even contemplated lowering mine is for ease of getting crap in it. I just miss your old truck.
If it's not going to be a DD why go so tame on lift and tires? P.S. Dodges can fit 35's stock or leveled, might want bigger tires with a 4".
No clue on the newer trucks but my 08 QC was much closer to a GM extended cab than a crew cab, maybe a couple inches more leg room than an EC.
