That is kind of what I did but I cut out what I needed and mated it to my existing harness and in some cases created my own harness. You can try to use the whole harness from another truck but it may or may not have all the connections/plugs you will need to mate it to your truck's components...

Pat, I sent you the diagrams I made plus a couple more I found, especially the factory power door lock diagram because you said you had the factory wiring pigtails. Let me know if you need anything else. I sure hope you can get everything working.:flag:

Thanks Jim. I will check them out and see what I can dig up. I have the GM Part numbers for the Z71 Jounce Bumpers and might just order/install them. I know it's an upgrade to the original ones that came on my 4x4.

After over 13 years I decided to upgrade/replace the brakes on the truck. I also decided to replace the brake hoses with Stainless Steel Braided lines and flush the entire system and replace it with new Synthetic Dot 3 fluid. I ordered the PowerStop K2010 Rotor/pad kit...

It really wasn't all that hard BUT I did a ton of research and double-checking before I tackled everything. I hate wiring because it's so tedious and you have to have tons of patience, which I don't, but I'm glad I took my time because I know it will last a long time. If I ever sell this truck...

I had to buy another one yesterday as well but I stuck with an Optima. It lasted about 4 years in the Texas heat and another 2 1/2 years out here in NC. It was only pumping out about 200 cranking amps after the parts place tested it. They put it on a quick charge and it came up to 500 cranking...

Hell yeah, nothing wrong with a manual. I learned on a 1973 F-100 (3 on the tree of course). Owned a 1972 Datsun with a 3 1/2 speed (the shifter was broke :lol:) and owned 1 car and 3 other trucks with a manual. I have just become lazy and don't want to bang gears anymore BUT if I won the lotto...
