A little update...
The guy with the '08 isn't returning my emails so I'm about to write that one off. I sure as hell am not going to beg him to sell it to me.
I worked out a deal Saturday morning on a leftover 2012 CC All Terrain....silver on black. It was the same guy I bought the Denali from. I told him to have all the info ready so I could sign, write him a check, and get out of there in 10 minutes. He calls me when everything is ready so I show up, give the truck a walk around, and notice blotchy paint on the hood. I didn't notice it on Friday when it wasn't in the direct sunlight. They have 2 others identical so I grabbed the keys to those, pulled them out of the shade and into the direct sun...same thing.

I checked the VIN sticker and all 3 were made in the same month so I'm assuming it was an issue in the paint booth at the factory. Who knows. So I tell Sammy, he looks at it and I can tell he is embarrassed and didn't notice it before. He said well we will have to repaint it. No, I'm not buying a new truck to have it repainted. NO DEAL. I walked.
He called me back later Saturday afternoon and had all 3 trucks hauled down to their body shop so the paint guy can look at it. Apparently the paint guy said they pulled the trucks out of the paint booth before the clear coat was dry and that it can be buffed out. I'm not sure I believe that but I'm going to go them out when I get back to town on Friday. I'm curious to see if it really gets buffed out. But I'm still not buying one of them at this point.
They have a 2013 that I can get for $3k more (few more options, body color All Terrain package, etc) but that is getting to the point where it is more than I want to spend. So the hunt continues. I have 5 weeks before the tax credit on the sale of the Denali expires so I'd like to find something by then. The good news is that the 2 big dealers here are having price wars so that is playing in my favor if time isn't.
