Slick looking bike, especially for the age. I wouldn't change too much about it.
While the important stuff is in good shape (frame, engine, etc.), the tank paint is awful, someone shittily repainted parts of the frame with a brush, and, well, I just hate the pseudo-cruiser look. Hate the bars, hate the seat, hate the wheels, hate the headlight and gauges. Just not my style.
These two bikes are my main inspiration on this project, hoping for the stance of the orange bike, but I'll be running drag bars like the white one, an will be making a seat somewhat similar to that bike as well.
Yeah, I can understand wanting to fix that paint stuff.. From the distance you shot the picture, I can't pick up on any of that..
As for the style... You're still young. So, the lower bars on what you're liking should be fine.. For me, I'd rather bars that are "up" more, so that it'd be a more comfortable ride. Speaking of comfort, moar padding on the seat would be my thinking, too.

Lookin' good. My dad has a 78 CX500 and I have an 82 Silverwing. I love those bikes.
