So last weekend I decided that the hardtop for the Miata was less fun than a motorcycle would be.

So I sold the top and bought a bike for $125 less than I sold the hardtop for.

1980 Honda CB650 Custom, 19,000 miles, bone stock except for the hideous crash bars which will be removed as soon as I trust myself to not tip this thing over in the garage.

Yes, it's fWONking ugly.

Yes, I'm going to fix that.

Yes, I'm going to try not to get myself killed.

The end.

Slick looking bike, especially for the age. I wouldn't change too much about it.

While the important stuff is in good shape (frame, engine, etc.), the tank paint is awful, someone shittily repainted parts of the frame with a brush, and, well, I just hate the pseudo-cruiser look. Hate the bars, hate the seat, hate the wheels, hate the headlight and gauges. Just not my style.

These two bikes are my main inspiration on this project, hoping for the stance of the orange bike, but I'll be running drag bars like the white one, an will be making a seat somewhat similar to that bike as well.
