I'm considering upgrading to a 2500/3500, both for towing and the 8 foot box...

Other than the DPF/Emissions, are there any major differences?

I'll be going with either an Silverado Classic, or a 2007.5 GMT900.

What things should I be looking for when it comes to issues?

I can only compare mine to a 2001 2500HD extended cab 8' and its a pretty significant different. The newer 6.0 runs much better even with the nanny and the six speed transmission, although it shifts a lot its more fun to drive. I can't really say this truck gets any better mileage though. I've always gotten between 10-13 MPG.

If you're in the market for a Duramax then disregard all I just said. :jester:

I knew I forgot something

If I do make the switch, it'll be to a dirtymax.
I have a 6 speed I can put in my truck... But if I do, I'll have to keep it until the end of days

Input is still appreciated
If I do have to settle for a gas job, it's definitely going to be a GMT900

Forget 2wd you are insane!

The differences are obvious. DPF vs non DPF watch for tuned or bypassed emissions on them

What's wrong with 2WD?

I knew about DPF vs no DPF, I wasn't sure if there was anything else...

I'd get a DPF delete anyway, lol
