Sounds like you might have wiped a couple of exhaust lobes of that new cam. Better start checking if you can't find anything else wrong.

omfg lowercase lack of punctuation advance timing thread so hard to read cant believe anyone actually communicates this way with other people srsly wtf how hard is it to hit shift key and period once in a while i know it takes an extra nanosecond to accomplish the difficult tasks like hitting return for a new line of hitting shift to highlight the beginning of sentences but holy fWONk wtf this is actually harder to type like this than to type like normal i want to move this entire thread to the fail thread but not sure I can shove a thread in a thread but if i could omg omfg i would in a heartbeat holy crap please take two seconds and try to help make your requests easier to read for the rest of us sure we can stumble through the way it is but that sucks and is not very helpful for others coming to our site from search engines and the like so please for christ's sake stop typing like a one-fingered chimp on adderall thanks bye
Sorry. I am a one-finger chimp. I am no english major. Sorry about that two. I will try and make posts a little easier to read. I understand it is your pet peeve to have everything proper english, spelled correctly, puntuaturated correctly and so forth. It is not intentional. I am just that dumb. Thanks for the laugh at my self. We good?

We're good and the chimp comment wasn't meant to be a personal attack, it was just that's what I envisioned was a coked-out monkey hammering away on the keyboard as fast as he could. Maybe not the best joke, who knows?

Anyway, it doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be readable. It's not a pet peeve as much as it's something a forum relies upon. The only thing we have here to communicate with here is the typed word so trying to make things readable goes a long way and only makes sense, especially when you are looking for help from someone.

Ultimately, we want current members, and just as importantly, new members, to be able to easily get information from our site.

Clearly, you are not dumb, I was just trying to make a point.

I noticed back of carb. leaking some. I tightened the bowl up.

I pulled the plugs and going to clean them up and regap.

I am kinda at a loss in firguring this out...Iv checked about everything i know of.

It is not popping out the exhaust and not popping fire out the carb now.

It is just running like dodo.

Has a steady 15 inch vacum. Vacum gauge does'nt bouce when reved up. Steady idle...

Runs like a plug is off.

Use an ohm meter and check the resistance in the wires...
You may have a bad wire...

I'm going to ask just to be nosey i guess. It acts like its just missing out something bad right? You have check and rechecked plugs wires timming the best you can while its missing right? Its not back firing anymore not poping any more?

Now not tellong you what to do but just telling you what i did when my 350 was acting like that. It was missing something bad. Id put it in gear and the whole truck would act like it was trying to buck me out. i was running a quadra jet. I could not fine a thing wrong with anything ( plugs, plug wires, timming didnt help) I called my cousin who is a machanic by trade he told me to find a differant carb and try it. I talked to a buddy in town borrowed a edelbrock 600 he had on a shelf. Slaped that baby on hooked every thing up. Turn the key she ran like a champ. Gave my friend $100 for it and have not had any trouble since.

Now the other day i got stupid a little and when i put carb on i didnt adjust my kick down for the th350 tranny and i got the kick down stuck and it would idle ok but put it in gear and hold on it would shake rattle and roll. I adjusted the kick down right and had no problems at all runs great kick down work etc...

So i guess even though you have had the carb checked and it may be new. You may have a piece of somthing stuck in a jet or something. Slap a differant one on and try it. Im just saying you'd be surprised.
