I think the current GC is one of the best looking "SUVs" on the market. The X5 and Edge Sport are in its league style wise IMHO.

That's because the GC stole half it's style from the X5 to begin with.

I do agree though.

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
8 speed plus updated interior, electronics, and front end sounds good to me.

They canned the diesel for MY 13 and pushed the 14 release up which is supposed to include the diesel and a hot SRT8. Production of the 14s is supposed to start in January.

I'm not excited for a 8 speed transmission, but I guess I'd have to drive it before passing judgement :dunno:

I'm sitting back and watching the show for a couple years before I buy anything new.

The show? They will only get more expensive :)

I love that new GC.

It's mainly just the new transmission. The old Benz 5 speed in the V6 and SRT8 is reliable but the gear spread is pretty small and the ChryCo 4 turned 5 turned 6 speed in the 5.7 is a piece with two useless ratios just so they can say it's a 6 speed.

I know lots of people bash the 545RFE, but I have been really happy with it in my truck. It behaves WAY better than any other auto I have had, and I don't have any issues with the ratio spacing, even towing. I have heard good things about the 8 speed in the Charger/300 though. :)

The 3.92's help you out a lot. I liked it as well except for it had a strong first and second then fell on its face in third.

This facelift seems to be quite mild...

iAgree.

Do these come with a third row? if so I should get the wife to take a look at one. I find the new Explorer to be styled like a ugly walrus....

It's supposed to be a decent refresh behind the scenes. It's getting an all new electrical system that will include a 7" color screen in the instrument cluster similar to the 2013 Ram's and Dart's, the new uConnect 8.4" touch screen in the center stack, the ability to lock, unlock, start, etc from a cell phone, and LED DRLs and tail lamps on the Limited, Overland, and SRT8 models. Looks like they're using the weird shifter from the 8 speed in the LX's but atleast it isn't the knob from the Ram.

Just two row. The Durango is pretty much the same vehicle with a longer wheelbase and a third row.
