I disagree. I believe a lot of companies and small businesses would have been all over a reasonably sized and priced diesel powered truck.

Build one your self.

Buy an old Ford Courier

Install VW wabbit truck diesel

You will then have an ugly truck that get 50 MPG for much cheaper and possibly more reliable.
