I didn't know this about the SRT8 GC's

The Grand Cherokee SRT8® takes capability to a new level by giving driving enthusiasts extreme performance on street and track. The all-new 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine with Fuel Saver Technology delivers an estimated 470 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.

The most powerful Jeep® vehicle ever, runs from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 155mph and brakes from 60-0 mph in 116 feet, for an outstanding driving performance in all conditions. An active intake manifold and high-lift camshaft with cam phasing delivers maximum low-end torque while optimizing high-end power across a wider and improved rpm band. 90-percent of peak torque is available between 2,800 and 6,000 rpm, for improved straight-line performance.

I agree with new vehicle costs. I love older ones anyway, but buying a new one for the amount they want I just cannot see it.

And they're slower than the 6.1L powered older gen GC SRT-8 :rollin:

^^ That's quite acceptable.

Mine average 3.2 Years right now... but something older will soon find its way in my driveway.

My truck falls right into the average. The biggest thing that keeps me from buying a newer vehicle is the price and I love not having a payment. New trucks are way over priced. My truck runs solid so there is no reason to replace it.

If it's cheaper to fix an old beater, and still have an acceptable fuel consumption, there's no reason to pay the same cost of a 15-year old truck to get a brand-new econobox...
