$4,000.00 seems a bit high to me.Either lift should be around $2,000.00,do you really need boards?I don't and don't want 'em...

If you or a friend are mechanically inclined and have air tools you might try it yourself.I've never done it but I'd try it in a heartbeat..

Always up for a mechanical challenge

If I don't get the board my wife will never stop complaining about it being too high for her and the kids being able to get in and out easily. I figured, if she's happy about the truck then I'll continually be able to buy mods for it lol! I was thinking of doing it myself but I'll be moving into our new home the same time.

I understand, keeping your wife happy is a good thing, and we all know what happens when wifey ain't happy...:jester:

I see you're on a limited time frame,so having someone install it for you might be your best option. As far as which lift to get I can't say....I have a Pro Comp 6'' on my burb and very happy with it.The lift was on the burb when I bought it and from what the guy who I bought it from said it's been on it since '02(bought the burb in '08).It tracks straight, steers nicely and has had no problems...except....one mounting bolt on the passenger side wasn't quite tight enough and would make a clunking sound when changing directions.I need to go over all the bolts again to make sure they're all tight as a matter of regular maintenance.

Pro Comp is mainly sold by 4WheelParts,must be one there :dunno:

Give it a couple of days and see what the guys here think..get some other opinions...

I was going to suggest a 4" lift... I've got the Rancho 4" lift with AMP boards and 35's. I think it's a nice looking setup and the lift is high quality.

Since I don't do a ton of off-roading I didn't see the need for a 6" lift.
