E85 dropped my mileage in the Titan from 15 to 12 in mixed driving. I can't tell much if any difference in the E10 stuff we have versus pure gasoline. Maybe a tenth or two of a MPG off...![]()

You guys are nuts. E85 only loses one around 15-20%.
EDIT: I just realized that's 15-20% over E10 so the overall loss is a bit higher. I still think you are all guessing on the high side though.
I can't effectively argue against anyone's findings on ethanol, but adding 10% WATER to your fuel would result in a 10% less fuel economy. Ethanol is 30% less efficient, so if you add 10% ethanol, you should only really get 3% less MPG. Theoretically of course![]()
.... I am not really trying to bash Ethanol... I just don't see that it helps anything, if other cars have the same drop in mileage that mine does.

I can't truthfully report on "PERFORMANCE", because I have not tested it with a stopwatch or on a track... but when I am running "REAL GAS" the car "SEEMS" to run a little better and idle just a little bit smoother.
I will admit... part of that about performance and idle could just be in my head ...![]()

Well I've always admitted there is a drop in mileage. AND the cost drop needs to be appropriate for that.
If you got 10% less MPG but it costs 25% less, it wouldn't seem so bad.
And the cost thing is a whole 'nother thread on a forum with a "Politics" section.![]()
