9006 Bulb Exploded

Anyone ever had one blow up? My Passenger side fog light bulb has exploded... pieces everywhere and its all fogged up.. im guessing from the gases in the bulb.... anyone ever had this happen? Now imma have to pull the housing out and flush all the pieces out...

I know I did not touch the bulb when I put it in.. so it's not an oil on the bulb issue!!!

I have had it happen before. Two or three times actually. But then I cleaned the bulb with alcohol before installation and it didn't happen again. Maybe the fWONker who packaged it touched the glass.

For the last 30 years....I have always carefully cleaned "ANY" bulb I install with alcohol...
Can't swear that it helps... but I have had very little bulb trouble down thru the years.

Damn, I've never done anything but replace one. I never wiped them off or anything, and don't believe I've ever experienced any problem.
