Texas Jim
Texas..It's a Whole 'nuther Country
These are all CELL PHONE PICS... so cut me some slack about the quality...
Went out to Texas Motor Speedway Saturday for the race and some other stuff.
My friend that owns the Cadillac forum, has connections and scored some VIP packages to the "Chevy Team" "Ride and Drive" event.
We got to drive some of the new cars and then I drove one of the new Chevy pickups that haul the drivers around the track, waving at the fans, just before the race starts.
It was all pretty cool and I really had a good time.
The only drawback was.... there was "WAY TOO MUCH WALKING" for this ol' guy.
I drove a Volt, a Camaro SS conv and a Corvette conv.
They would not let us turn off traction control and Stabilatrac...

The Volt actually was a surprise to me.
It was much nicer than I had thought it would be and it was also a little "BIGGER" than I had thought it would be.
The Camoro SS and the 'vette were fun to drive, but the little winding, crooked, track they had set up wasn't big enough...darn it...

The vette will hit the rev limiter real quick....

I was running a little late getting out there... so I picked up the pace a little bit...
