Yeah. It does a great job on sidewalks and driveways. Don't think I want to use it on my truck.

Yes. I occasionally wash the cars at the lake and I have used it but I'm not sure I use it like you are thinking. I use it to wet it down and then rinse it off, not really to cut into any crud or anything major.

The tip is adjustable on the fly which is nice.

Really need hot water to wash a car. Cold water just doesn't cut the grime. I don't know if one of these would be worth buying for that purpose or not... which is why I'm asking.

I have one of these I leave at the lake to clean the carpets and pontoons on our boat and it does great. It's small and gets the job done.

Here's the one I'd grab if I had to grab another.

I have a Karcher electric that I use for clean up outside the house, (Deck, sidewalk, front stoop, mold, spring cleanup, etc) I rarely use it on the Vehicles. :)

They are very rarely dirty enough to need powerwashing

My gas washer is 3800 psi. Hard to scale that back enough for me to feel comfy washing my truck with it. It will etch concrete.

Mine's only 2800 psi and I'm scared to use it on my cars. I had an electric one that was okay for washing cars and small stuff, but I ended up selling it once I bought the gas one. Looking back now, I wish I had kept it honestly.

I agree. The gas washers have some serious pressure. Mine works great on the house, driveway, sidewalks, etc. I've had it for a number of years.

After searching the net, it appears that the cold water pressure washer idea is not such a good one for vehicles (other than spraying off some dust). I know car washes use hot water here in the soap cycle and I'm quite sure those cheap bastards would bypass that step if it was not an integral part of the cleaning process. A professional heated water pressure washer is not something I intend to buy, store, and maintain!

Oh well...
