They converted about 12 city buses here to run on CNG. And the city recently got 25 new garbage trucks that run on CNG. I remember it was all over the news that the workers are so happy because NONE of the older garbage trucks have AC. WTF?

There is one in your town with CNG for 1.29...
Even with MPG loss compared to gasoline... that's still a hell of a lot cheaper than gas.

The State of Texas runs much of its fleet of many thousands of vehicles on CNG. They have for many years. No long term differences in reliability have cropped up. A friend of mine actually oversees the state's CNG program in Austin. They even sell surplus trucks, suburbans, etc with the CNG systems intact.
