Use exactly what it came with, as far as plugs and wires, IMO. ACDelco is just fine.

Fuel filter, I went with a Wix but just about any will do. Be sure to check your local shops though to avoid shipping if the prices are close.

For the first time ever I strayed from my beloved AC plugs, and went with the Bosch Platinum +4 and the Bosch wires. Been doing great for nearly 3 years. Did it as a test, since all of us sheep never dared to stray :D2

You should also install the Vette Servo kit and then have a :bbp: tune done. (I can't recall if it's tuned or not, but it should be.) :D

Were they comparable in price and have you seen any benefit from them at all?

The tune will get you that if you can keep your foot out of it. It's the best bang for the buck you'll ever spend on that Tahoe. The Servo kit is $30 and takes 30 minutes to install.

They were the same as AC Iridium as I recall. Mileage and smooth running came right back like when she was new

ALL Iridium or platinum plugs? acdelco a good brand for parts (fuel filter) etc

gonna shop alot on rockauto for these parts

You may or may not have a serviceable fuel filter on an '04. Before ordering look inside the frame rail for one. Catalogs show '04s have filters, but most do not. Part of the fuel pump assembly.
