Like the way that exhaust came out!

Good call on the exhaust. I don't like drawing attention to exhaust, personally.
I agree completely.

Thanks Jim, he did a really nice job all around. It was a mess when I dropepd it off with the bubbling BBQ paint, the muffler and dumped rear section looks really nasty too, he didn't look too happy after I dropped it off lol.

Props to him for recommending I just blast the flex pipe and not coat that since there was a chance it would flake off on that spot.

If anyone needs ceramic coating done, give Bob at Hypercoat a call in Pompton Lakes NJ.

It was a last minute decision that was the right one for sure.

Looking good.
Thank you Lee.

What does anyone know about black ceramic coating? I know it's not the most scratch resistant, but a friend mentioned when he blasted the exhaust on the OCC trim spa bike he was amazed how easily black ceramic coating came off. Last thing I want is a scratched up exhaust under my truck.

Oh shit, I was not aware of that. I assumed it was similar to what the header people were doing, and that stuff is bullet proof. Keep us posted on that.

How will it get scratched just sitting in your driveway? :D2

Everything looks fuggin awesome, can't wait to see this all done in person. I also spoke to Colin about the bumpers last night, we're going to get them done as soon as it's warm enough out to spray.

It is the same stuff that is used to coat headers, I think it'll be fine, it's not like I go offroad.

Thanks Dan, hoping to get all this stuff on the truck by beginning of summer, if not sooner.

Ok, no problem, thanks for the update. Sorry he had my sh*t in his garage for all this time. As soon as I am out of this stupid boot I'd like to work on the coupe again, maybe it can be put back together before next winter.

My buddy Tim is on his 7th year of drag racing his Opel GT using ceramic coated headers and they look like they are maybe a year old. Tough stuff.

Those are in the inside of the car though, he has the satin black stuff too? The polished/chrome jet hot stuff is crap, it turns grey cause it's not able to handle the heat.
