I picked up some Adam's Quick Sealant in a recent daily special along with some Americana Wax. The Quick Sealant (QS) is a good protectant for your wheels as well as paint. Well just about anything on your vehicle that you don't want to use wax on.

Adam himself explaining it:

The idea is to add a layer of protection from dirt, brake dust, and dirt on the road. It also adds some gloss to Matte Black wheels. If you have matte black wheels than I'm sure you have seen the chalky look they can get when clean & dry. This drives me nuts persoanlly. In the past I've used Hyperdressing & SVRT. SVRT usually gives me the desired look (glossy yet not nasty and silconing like the HD, just my .02)

Here are some shots of both Hyperdressing & SVRT on KMC Monsters (same for any matte black wheels)

So what I did was the barrel of the wheels. I removed them from the truck then cleaned them with Adam's APC and dried them with an old towel. Once they are clean go ahead and apply the QS. Let dry then wipe down for a semigloss look with a clean Adam's Utility Towel

The QS adds a layer of protection I have noticed too. I will report back and let everyone know how they have held up. :tmc:

How did the backside of your wheels get scratched up?

UPDATE:

Well we've actually gotten some rain recently and the roads have been kind of slick and muddy around here. THe QS does a great job with the SVRT of repeling water and some brake dust. The dirt just kind of sits on top of the wheels and sprays off easily with a hose

Overall pretty darned impressed with the amount of protection

Get some from :jrod: @ :bulldog:
