I will be in the market for a boat when I get back to the states. Here is what I want,

1 a place to sleep 4.
2,able to move it with my truck.

That is about it. The rest I know little about. That is where you make me smart. inboard? Outboard? A mix of the two?. What is there to look out for? what is too old?

This isnanlake cruiser so try to guide me that way. The rest, you need to get me smart on, see? Easy!!!!

These are what I think I would like

Understand that...:)
A boat can be a really nice thing to have.
I always really enjoyed mine... we have a lot of lakes here in the DFW area.

I have never had one as big as what you are looking at...
I always wanted one like that, just never got around to getting one.
Mine were all smaller boats... just family runabouts.

A friend had a big Bayliner...about 28 foot...
"THAT" was a nice rig...

I don't know anything about boats, but my aunt and uncle had one almost identical to the first one you posted (79 Bayliner 28 ft) and it was a blast. We used to go to Lake Powell with them and it was fast enough to pull a skier, but comfortable enough to camp out of. And there ends my knowledge of boats........

I've always enjoyed having a boat. Yes, they are a hole in the lake that you throw money in... but they are great fun. Life is short.

Older boats can really cost you a lot to keep alive - especially if you use them a lot. My recommendation would be to look at something much newer. Your payments might be higher, but repair bills and maintenance should be much easier on the wallet.

I spent six years in the Navy and operated and worked on small craft of all types, so I can say this with absolute confidence...

The pointy end is the front.
