Everyone has really touched base on what I was going to say. I think the 269 cam is perfectly fine for a mediumish 5.3 build. It's bigger than Dan has in his 6.0. Pair it with a 3k stall and it will move very nicely.

Rod bolts, hardened push rods, springs and timing chain while you are in there.

I would 100% recommend a 3000 converter to get the most out of this setup. I'd do a custom spec cam probably something with some advance ground in to help the low end. The cam you picked is very mild :D

Yeah, we have that on the list.

Nothing off the shelf available for the advance from anybody?
With a 3k stall you won't need a ton of low end.
