Bought a used AD244 145amp alternator off eBay for $55 that had 67k on it, and got a longer belt from AutoZone (975K6 for reference). Got them installed. Gonna have to go to AutoZone soon and have them see what it can put out!

That was deal I like. I started up my truck today and drove around that's about it.

Well, considering I spent $200 on a new Duralast Gold alternator for the Z71 plus the $20 belt, $75 all said and done for the ZR2 is an amazing deal!

Drove it to Thanksgiving dinner (to both sides of the family; mom's and dad's) and also saw that gas went down again.

Tried to figure out a spot to mount 4 HID ballasts. There's no room! The engine bay is so crammed; especially compared to the Z71. Might try to mount them behind the bumper using some custom brackets.

Zip ties can be your friend when mounting ballasts.

How about behind the lights themselves? That's where Tahoe has them.
