Thanks Gary! I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. :)

Yeah, that's a little high, but not bad. Ones that are in good shape are still going for good money. A dealer here had one (don't know the year, maybe an '01) that was SUPER clean, but they wanted almost $10k for it.

I drove a rcsb '02 S10 for years at the job I retired from....loved that little truck. With the V6 in it,it would haul ass........a friend has a 4x4 ext. cab S10...a very cool truck, wouldn't mind owning one

I had a '94 RCSB 5spd 4cyl. It got GREAT gas mileage (25mpg consistently in the summer; 20-21 in the winter). It wasn't a bad truck, and I'd own another like it, but then I had the '97 ECSB 5spd V6 and the engine made a HUGE difference in power. That truck could get-up and go, but it also killed the gas mileage. It will be interesting to see what this one gets for gas mileage (the ZR2 is the worst for the S10's).

Great trucks  and so far have been pretty easy to work on. However, I'm not looking forward to working on this one that much. V6+A/C+4x4=one cramped engine bay!

FYI, before I started modding my Blazer, I got 20+ MPG in the winter :pfingers: :D

The ZR2 Blazer was the worst because of the parachute/spare tire hanging off the back... The pickup ZR2 will be about the same as a regular 4x4 S10.

Well, I got 17-18mpg with my '97 S10 4.3L 5spd in the winter and 20-22 in the fall that I had it.

It would be great to stay around 18mpg for the winter!

I thought the bigger tires were what killed the ZR2's.

Most non-Z S-series with stick shift were 3.42 gears, you've got 3.73's so it comes to close to the same :)

Intake + exhaust + BB tune and you should be able to average 18 easy

Yeah, I noticed that too (the gear ratio differences). Right now, I'm gonna be running a cheap eBay intake. I just don't have time to get my Volant one installed. I'd rather get my HID's done first.

I got by BB tune for 87oct. Nothing fancy. I still need to do the TB mod though.

We'll see how accurate the DIC in the OHC is for calculating the AVG MPG. The Instant MPG jumps all over the place. I saw as low as 7 and as high as 30. Of course, that's WOT and off the throttle entirely.
