Go with Alpine, Kenwood, or Pioneer. I've only used a handful of Sony headunits, but none of them impressed me at all.

When I had subwoofers and amps in F150 i used to have I spent $400 on a sony xplod when they first came out with that series back in 1998.

I owned 2 sony xplods and had no problems with either one. Actually thats the only brand I ever owned.

I think you should venture out and try one of the other brands listed. I think you may be suprised since all you have had is sony.

Go with one of the three I mentioned then. You'll see what you've been missing. :thumbs:

My problem with Sony headunits isn't their quality, most of the Sony headunits I've seen are problem-free. My beef with Sony headunits is their usually shitty ergonomics, poor bang-for-the-buck, etc.
