Much to the relief of everyone who had to sit behind me in traffic for the past few months, I replaced the catalytic converter on my 95.

Moment of Silence request: Found out today that my uncle's 1996 Ford f-150 died today. 250k strong miles and now the engine looks to be toast. Thing was a beautiful green two tone Eddie Bauer edition.
What happened to it ?

Engine just quit, no fire and smoke, just stopped all at once.

Went to a U-Pull-It junkyard!

Got a factory intake for the ZR2 along with 4 more clips that hold in the headlight and another 4x4 push-button switch panel. Also got 2 reel-lights from K1500's. Someday 1 will go in each truck. Got everything for $20. Only thing I couldn't find was a horn for my Z71. Mine has 2; 1 is bad/doesn't work.

Got the service 4WD message a few days ago, was waiting it out until I could pull a code to see if it was the switch or encoder motor sensor. As I was leaving home today it felt like the truck was slow and bogged down, look down and its signaling that it is in 4low, I can tell that it isnt actually in 4low but the transmission is shifting like it is. I know it is the encoder motor sensor now, I called a shop to see what they charge to fix it. The guy insists that it is the whole motor itself and that he has never done just the sensor. I'm not paying $600 for something that functions or would function perfectly with a new $100 sensor. Gah.

It has a cheap eBay intake with an open filter (talk about hot-air intake!). The tube from the "bonnet" to the MAF is longer than the OEM one. I either have to run the OEM rippled section with my Volant box or I can use the OEM to measure and cut the eBay pipe shorter (probably what I'll do).

For this winter, I might just leave the eBay intake in there. I've got enough problems/projects to complete in the next month. :uhoh:

Put on a new (used) driver's arm rest. Fwonking things are hard to find, and the color doesn't match, but at least it doesn't fall off now.
