Each cam you pick on summit lets you know in its info if it will need springs.

The only thing on the one I posted is some break in oil. I'm also going to get a new timing chain and gears.

Bringin this thread back to life. Seriously thinkin about turnin this thing into a weekend track truck. Drop it a few inches, shave a bunch of stuff off, redo the interior somewhat race car-ish, smooth out the bodylines, and freshin up the engine.

Goin for this look. This is a buddy's truck

Now I've discussed some motor stuff slightly in this thread, but I'm seriously wanting to dump a couple grand in this bad boy  I was thinking something along the lines of a new cam, new top end parts, new valve covers, redo the ignition, and clean up the engine compartment. Where do you guys suggest I start? Thoughts? Opinions??

Are you planning on doing this to your Ford? If that's your plan I would buy a chevy truck to build as a track truck. Why? Because you can go faster for far less money. Way more go fast parts available for chevy small blocks or ls based engines.

Sadly this is true! Red is right on the money.
