Hey guys
Going to put a nice stealth system in my truck this summer. I've been gathering the parts. I don't know much about car audio, but I've been doing some research a little at a time. I am going to try to install it myself in pieces. Any help would be appreciated.
Ok so the HU will be a Shaker 500 out of a 2008 Mustang. I have it already and I know it doesn't have the RCA jacks obviously, so I will be putting a JL Cleansweep in there. Has anyone installed one? My understanding is it hooks up the the HU and allows the amp to get the RCA jacks it needs for best sound quality and flattens the tone so the amp gets raw signals from the HU.
I have a set of these speakers on the way along with harnesses for them. I am looking at buying this amp to power this sub along with amping the door speakers.
Does this seem like it would be a good sounding set-up? I believe I would need a 4 gauge wiring kit. Would this work? KnuKonceptz 4 Gauge
I have a feeling amping the speakers and the cleansweep are going to be the hard parts. What else will I need? Do you think this is over my head? I am thinking of installed the speakers when I get them, then the cleansweep and amp along with the sub. And save the amping of the door speakers until I can get more advice on how to do that. What cables would I need for the sub install? I know Matt has done some impressive work and I am wanting to keep this simple, but good sounding.
Thanks guys
John

X2 to add I would go with 2 gauge power wire and a fuse block.
