Why doesnt anybody make a diesel short bed, single cab truck? Its probably a simple answer, but I think it'd be awesome to have. I know GM had a diesel Blazer, thats kind of the same thing...

Most people that want a diesel tow and haul things. A short bed isnt long enough for a goosneck trailor and isn't big enough to carry much. It would be nice for people that just want a diesel but dont use one for what it's intended for.

There was a diesel 3/4ton GMT 800 single cab that ran around the neighborhood I lived in during college. :dunno:

That 4.5L diesel GM thought about would have been wicked in a RCSB.

ok that makes sense. I have a truck with a short bed, that has a goose neck hitch in it though. :dunno: Well I dont remember which is which. Gooseneck uses the ball thing and fifth wheel uses the Butt hitch?

they also have shortbed, EXTENDED cab trucks too...I suppose the wheel base helps with capacity or something?
