Just replaced the battery, starts like a new one now.......

What did you get?
Well, since I plan on getting rid of the truck within a year and I'm on a budget, I just went to Wallyworld and got their cheapest, which was 1/2 the price of AutoZones cheapest Duralast. As long as it gets me thru the winter , I'm happy.

:fingersx: How many cca?
Hell, I don't remember...................... It's in the book for the truck, 600 or something like that. It's only got a 1 year replacement on it. For 49.00 bucks I not going to bitch.

600cca should be good. I've always gone with 800cca. I understand you not wanting to put money into the truck if you're planning on getting rid of it.

It will spin it with no problem. It's just a 305 over 200000 miles, so I imagine the compression is also lower than stock.:D

Just took it to Sams club and bought lots of food in very large quantities. Freezer was almost empty, so it was time to refill it.

I just bought plugs and wires for it on line from Advance Auto parts. They are running a promo today. I think I got 20% off of both items. I have to go pick the plugs up. The Delphi wires should arrive here in 3-5 days. I have to pick the plugs up at the store within the hour.

That's what I did when I bought mine.
But the cashier had it all in a bag waiting for me, so I didn't realize until I got home that they only gave me 6 plugs instead of 8 :fume: They knew the deal, because when I called the store they didn't even try to deny it. But they did say they didn't have any more in stock. I had to drive across town to another store and pick up the other 2 plugs.

I may have to replace the battery, it cranked kinda slow this morning. I think it's time ,
I have had the truck for 8 or 9 years and it's the battery that was in it when I bought it.
Since most batteries only last 5 years or so....I think it is time to change it.
You're running on borrowed time...

My '85 S10 that I had for 9 months before I got the Blazer had the factory battery

I got the Blazer in Jan '07...
