I think the government should just mandate we drive smart cars. Then this wouldnt be a problem. Our air would be clean and we could fit 3 of them on a lift with out overloading it.

I would rather drive a Piaggio Ape than a Smart.

Matching paint is a no brainer with modern paint systems.

You guys need to quit buying into all of those old wives tales about this shit.

Really.

True that. My color was matched perfectly after I had this repaired:

Over $600.00 to fix that.......

And you all need to give that 2011 GM HD more credit. If an HD truck can't handle what that truck went through, then it has no business being an "HD" truck...or maybe even a "truck" for that matter.

Question: would this type of thing show up on a CarFax report? If so, would it diminish the value or just make someone looking at it a little more leery?

Don't fall for the CarFax marketing garbage.

CarFax is a total joke. They claim to have all of the details on every car but it's all marketing. If the PD or the body shop are not one of the ones that report to them, major damage can go un-reported and therefore not show up on CarFax. I see cars all of the time at auction with a "clean carfax" that have obviously been wrecked and fixed.

My brother totaled his Nissan frontier, sold it after settling with his insurance company to a buddy who then fixed it. CarFax is clean to this day... as if the truck was a never touched vehicle.

CarFax is just smart. They sell you a "safety net" in this time of everything having to be guaranteed and safe.

That was my concern.
