I'll keep looking, its got to be on the web somewhere.
I have found generic stuff (wiring diagrams) on a site, but no one appears to actually say what color goes to what color. That's all I want.

I have a thread on another forum that I posted my question and have posted updates to what I have in terms of wiring. That thread has 76 views and not a single reply!!!! :frustration: (from anyone other than me)

OHC wiring done (I think); need help with Auto-Dimming Mirror

Alright, I think I've got everything figured out for the 9-pin (8-wire) connector that goes to the DIC itself. All but 1 wire goes to the radio.

Anyways, I can't find any info on where to run wires to for the auto-dimming mirror.

I have found what the wires are for though.

Taken from here.

I did a little more research. You may have the Inside Rear View Mirror (w/Light Sensitive and Reading Lamps)
Here is the wiring for that:

1 - BRN - Fuse Output - Ignition 3 - Type III Fuse

2 - BLK - Ground

3 - LT GRN - Fuse Output - Backup Lamps - Type III Fuse

4 - GRA - Automatic Day/Night Mirror Signal - Outside

5 - PNK - Automatic Day/Night Mirror Return - Outside

6 - WHT - Courtesy Lamp Output

7 - ORN - Electronic Control Unit Output - 12 Volt
It looks like my mirror connector goes like this:

1 - BRN
2 - BLK
3 - LT GRN
4 - GRY
5 - WHT ??? (not sure why mine is WHT; must change to PNK somewhere in the harness)

I still don't know where the GRY and PNK wires go to that are in the separate smaller 4-pin connector (of which, only those two wires are used). I don't see a PNK wire anywhere else on the harness.

The console I had the MODE button :dunno:

The compass was on a stick off to the side of the OHC... I'll see if I can find a pic.

Mine is the MODE too. Both consoles (ON/OFF and MODE) had the compass.

You are talking about the SHORT version where the compass is on like a 7" arm off to the passenger side. On the LONG version, the compass is built in. :)

Just a clarification, I have the DIC connector wiring figured out, but not done.

My Blazer has the short console because it has a sunroof. Do you need me to check and/or test any wires for you? :dunno:

Do you have the auto-dimming mirror? Which OHC do you have (ON/OFF or MODE)?

I've matched up all 8 wires for the DIC connector. 7 can be found behind the radio and the other 1 goes to the OBD-II port. My hick-up is where to run the auto-dimming mirror wires. I have been unable to find any threads saying where the easiest place to run these wires are.

Hell I don't know what I have to tell you the truth. I know it has the Compass and fuel economy and stuff. I will have to go look at it this evening when I get home.
