Filled it up. My tank is only 25gal (sometimes I wish it were bigger), but I only put in 17gal and came out to 16.4mpg. Not bad since I was really pissed off and did a few WOT runs onto the interstate to 70mph.

Gary, where is the tank on the Burb? I know your 3/4ton and a 454, but the frame is still the same length as my truck (I think). So why in that case did the ECLB trucks get a 35gal while you're sitting on 42 on a shorter frame?

It's where the spare tire would normally be on a truck, between the frame rails behind the rear axle. That's why the spare tire is inside in the back.Replacing the fuel pump is a royal pain, ask me how I know :jester:
That explains it. I couldn't put a tank like that in mine if I wanted too. My exhaust would be in the way (it is already 1/2" away from the spare and the shock).

Just been driving it.....all week long.....and putting on quite a few miles, but its all been highway so my MPG should be pretty good. :fingersx: The truck just got dive-bombed by bird shit either last night or this morning. There's like 4 spots on the ext cab on the pass. side.

I just filled mine up with 91...33 gallons @ 4.079=$135.00(about) :(

Installed the 140amp alternator(what a PITA).Checked all the fluids and even had time to give it a bath. Not bad looking for an old truck.

I'm f'n wore out now,gonna sleep good tonight :D

Got underneath it to replace the oil level sensor and found that the harness just had a cut wire. A little solder and all is well again.

Whooped a Mustang yesterday.

That's good...
He probably needed to be brought down a notch anyway... :rollin:
Did you ever put the center caps back on it?? :dunno:

Not yet, but will be doing so this weekend. I bought a product called "The Black Box" by Turtle Wax yesterday, solely for black vehicles, and plan on cleaning that puppy all up this weekend. :dunno:

Yeah, I know. As for the punk in the Mustang. I went to pass him cause he was doing 35 in a 55. As soon as he saw me start to go around him, he floored it. Well needless to say, so did I. His nose was at my door handle when I had to let off because I was approaching the top of a hill.

I wonder why people do that...:dunno:
It sometimes happens to me too and it makes no sense... but like you, I then go on around them... don't matter to me if they like it or not...

If it wouldn't have been for that hill, and the thought of oncoming traffic, I never would have let off. I just didn't feel like dying or killing anybody else. I was pulling away from him.
