A 2010 would have the 6 spd right? Is that why it seemed to be hunting for gears?![]()

I bet you get a lot of looks in France in that thing!I agree with you Culater, a very nice rig, mine is is older 2008 (December) but very pleasant to drive it, a good power with the 5.3, comfortable in LTZ trim, very quite to appreciate the music given by the Bose system which is great, and sorry Bigredstx the Sub (as we call it here) is a very beautiful SUV !! And not so big, an Audi Q7 has the same size or so.

Yeah, the stock tuning on the 6spd is terrible.A 2010 would have the 6 spd right? Is that why it seemed to be hunting for gears?![]()
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that had the 6-spd.
I know everyone raves about Justin at Blackbear and what he does for the GM trucks. I think the best thing he did for my Denali was "fixing" the shift tables. There was a lot less needless up & down shifting. There was a lot less "let's try this gear.. ok, we'll go down one more.. ok, one more.. THERE we go.. ok, now that we're moving again, I'm going to get in a hurry to get back to the higher gear again so we can reduce RPM and increase MPG" b.s...
There were times that I would take off from an intersection that the stock programming would have me going into 3rd gear by the time I crossed 4 lanes of traffic. (I used 'manual mode' a lot to prevent that kind of stuff, especially before the transmission was tuned.) I know there's a push for MPG now, but I think GM's tuning (at least for the model year truck I had) was a little too aggressive on that..![]()

Yeah, getting the transmission tuned was the biggest "that was worth it!" factor for me.

That's true even on my 4spd.![]()
That and that damn throttle delay bull![]()
