I replied to this earlier on my phone but I guess it didnt work lol anyways there wasnt many changed at all with the newer ones except for the goofy looking 1 peice seat which can be swapped out to the older style by changing the rear plastic and the seats no big deal there. The only other thing the f4i doesnt have inverted front forks but for just normal street riding its no big deal, the only guys that say you have to change them are stunters who roll long stoppies and come down from wheelies a lot. But im sure you wont be rolling to many stoppies lol. basically the f4i is a great beginners bike and easy to learn on but also a great bike for an experianced rider. They have great power and will hold their own against any newer 600. IMO this is the bike to look for as long as you like the looks of them. I have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to sportbikes so any questions you have post it up man.

I'm not a sport bike guy either. Maybe it's because I'm 6'5" but they're just REALLY uncomfortable for me. :dunno:

no sport bikes are not mean for tall people like you....

I don't agree. I'm 6-7 and I ride a sport bike. Adjustable rearsets = comfort and you don't look like an idiot with your knees up to your chin haha. Plus I ride an older (03) yzf and they were more of a sport cruiser than the all out sport bike r6 of the time.

Well, I saw a pretty good deal pop up on ebay yesterday, so I called and went to look at it today. And it's coming home tommorrow:)

It's a bone stock unmolested 06 600RR, it has a set of frame sliders. I don't plan on doing many mods, just a fender eliminator kit, and maybe a couple other small things.

I'll have pics. tommorow once I get it home and cleaned up a bit.

These sportbikes can be not so uncomfortable as are usually reported, but as far as comfort goes there is nothing like those dual-purpose bikes such as Yamaha Ténéré, Triumph Tiger and BMW R1200 GS...

Well boys she's home, rode it all over today and had blast.

Here's some iPhone pics, and I still haven't really detailed it up good yet:

Definately doing a fender delete on way or another, I'm leaning towards buying a cheap plate bracket or making one and then going with an integrated LED tail light with brakelight flasher and scrolling turn signals something like THIS. I'm still debating on a dark windscreen, and I definately need a rear stand if not both
