FFUUU Just got home and I am takin the 400 back to the shop. The parking brake hardly works and its not like I can just leave it in park either. :(
Hmmm.....Did they mess with the adjuster at all? 1st gear should hold the truck just fine on level/semi-level ground, but it won't do a thing on a hill. I usually just leave mine in 1st unless I'm on an incline.

Drove it.
Figured out that the driver's side seal on the front diff is leaking on the S10. :frustration: I know the smell of gear oil all too well.
Also, the starter solenoid on my Honda might be what's bad (its external). It just sits there and clicks.

Also found out that AdvanceAuto has DupliColor cans for $12 for 2 (save $1.40 total). I'll probably get some for painting the tailgate and a few spots on the S10; probably need at least 4 cans.

1st gear should be able to hold it for a hell of a steep slope!

My driveway didn't get it to roll at all.

Heck, I've had my Blazer steeper than a 45* angle and it didn't roll :dunno:

It all depends on your compression. If you have good, it'll hold, but if its bad and that one cylinder is what is holding right now, say bye-bye to the truck!! :) We had this happen to our old car; had one bad cylinder; a lady knocked on our door a 1am saying our car was in the street.

Yeah, they guy said he forgot to re-adjust it. He apologized and fixed it. All good now.
Huh, I would have left it alone until I test-drove the vehicle, but that's just me.
Glad you got it worked out and that the adjuster actually works! :)

The Silverado is gonna have a busy day. Work, graduation practice, home, out to supper, graduation, home. So probably around 60mi today.

Took some oil to the recycling center, I can never find a container that doesn't leak a little oil out everytime! I at least had a rag this time to let it drip on

My ole lady drove it to work because we had to take the Caddy in for scheduled maintenance.
