#3 if you guys don't have anything better to do. It may be the cheapest source of summer entertainment you could have. :lol:

As far as I know these earlier Hyundais are essentially copies of Mitsubishi. If you could find a wrecked Lancer Evo to scrap and take its engine and driveline you would have a bad ass ricebox.

As far as I know these earlier Hyundais are essentially copies of Mitsubishi. If you could find a wrecked Lancer Evo to scrap and take its engine and driveline you would have a bad ass ricebox.
A guy at the local drag track had a '97 Elantra with an awd turbo Eclipse drivetrain and motor and it ran low 10's. It was pretty sick and it killed a new (at the time) ZO6.
They use the 4gwhatever it is stock but non turbo.

With some mods it's not so hard to these little engines get around 500hp. But they're lighter and have a smaller frontal area than a Vette, so its bigger torque doesn't change the things too much as it would do for something smaller like a Pontiac Solstice...
