well i drove a 07 classic with a 5.3 with a y-pipe a couple weeks ago and it popped under med-high acceleration, but it didnt have mandrel bent pipes, it just had the crappy bends a exhaust shop bends up so im hoping by having nicer and smoother bends it will not pop so much, but i guess ill have to wait and see, or how bad it is if it does pop

also i think the length of the truck makes a difference too, im hoping buy having a short truck it will make the popping or "backfiring" sound less, but i dont know much about how exhaust works

My system is mandrel bent i believe so that could be alot of it! But i dont like popping during acceleration. Its just kind of an insult to a truck

well a normal bend kinks the pipe on the inside where as a mandrel bend is the same thickness all the way through the bend, my old truck was like that and i could tell the difference between my buddies truck with the same straight pipe exhaust
