I wish we did not have to have registration and inspection stickers on the windshield here in Texas so I could tint the whole front windshield.
I have 5% all around and the windshield has a 6 inch strip across the top. The only time I ever get stopped for tint is by State Troopers. And I have only been stopped twice.
I have 2 layers of 5% over factory on the back 3 windows and a 5% 7" strip on the front windshield and I sometimes have 2 percent on the front side windows. Not being allowed to tint front windows at all makes it hard for me to keep them tinted for too long...
Man some of you guys are going really dark. I have 35% on the front two and 15% on the back glass. I kind of wish I went with 15 and 5, but what I have now it can be a pita at night. I can't imagine some of them
I can see the need for the dark tint in the south but up here I think it would be a PITA more than it's worth. I have 20% all around with just the brow on the windshield done 20% but I do wish I had gone darker.
Whenever my home done job fails I'm planning on paying to get 15 fronts and 5 back glass. Since the regular cab has less shadow from roof space I think it seems lighter than others with 20%.
