The newer model of the $30 Kobalt got a bad review where someone had a hard time removing lug nuts a sedan car. Might just stick with sears/craftsman and get service agreement or extended warranty on it.

I know that there have been bad reviews on the cheaper Sears/Craftsman guns as well. Same problem as you have stated here, can't get lug nuts off a sedan. If you want one to last, you're gonna have to pay for it and then maintain it.

I have a 3/8 kobolt i use my my service truck. It see's action about 4 sometime 5 days a week for 3 or 4 hrs total use and gets oiled before i use it every time. I got my 3rd one today under warrentty. There not ment for the type of use me and Clancy need em for. My 1/2 is the regular version of Clancy's. Its the 2135TIMax and i love it. Really light, hard hitting, but with a price tag of a little over $320 it better be.

I have a IR 1/2" and 3/4" I have used the 1/2" IR everyday for the last 5 years working on diesel engines and construction equipment. When I sent it in to be rebuilt (work covers 75% so I sent it in to be gone over) it was still more powerful than my coworkers new snap-on. He sold his snap-on and bought an IR. You can get them for less than $200. Oil it everytime you use it and it will last you years. Another recommendation if you dont use it a lot before you put it away after use put 3 or 4 drops of oil in the air intake. Hit the trigger a couple times then when it sets it will be well lubed.

The 3/4" gun will take off bolts that my co-workers need a 1" for. They are outstanding tools.

Thanks for the tip. I oiled my blow gun and air ratchet 2 days ago to make sure they were lubed. I think never oiled the Kobalt or the air ratchet and blow gun.
