Truck Is Getting Recon'd

I like it that my lights don't flash. Then people don't know its unlocked. The only lights that come on are the dome lights (which are harder to see at night than the exterior lights).

i dont have a choice with my remote start, but its alright i had the same remote start in my old truck and ive gotten used to it

So what all is set to flash?

Some vehicles are just the parking lights/tail lights. Others make their reverse lights and headlights/fogs stay on.

well if i dont have it remote started everything even the headlights flash but since i did the diode mod the fogs flash as well now too..

and then when its remote started all the parking lights are on and then when i unlock the doors the headlights flash, bad for the hids but there is nothing i can do since its all plug and play its all in the trucks computer as im told

Yeah, that does suck for the HID's.

well i leave work in about 2 min so im going to check the lock/unlock settings in the DIC and see if there is a setting im missing

Could be. Some cars allow you to change what happens when you lock/unlock.

For instance, on my dad's 02 Neon, I was able to disable the horn from honking when locking.

Second, Matt, IDK when you changed your tail lights, but the ones on you sig make the truck look infinitely better. In fact, I caught myself looking at your sig pic for quite a while simply because your trucks looks fantastic in it. Great work!

im pretty nervous too, i can drill into customers trucks all day long but when it comes to my own its hard to do, thats why i am getting help with them just so i dont jump the gun and drill where im not supposed to because im excited or something.

the cab lights are going on sunday, and its supposed to rain all weekend so i think im going to let it sit in the shop all weekend so the silicone drys good and right under the lights, and i cant wash it for a couple days so all you guys will get is a couple cell phone shop pics sunday night

Yeh, I know how ya feel. I did my truck and was nervous as hell. But then when we did my dad's I was still nervous, but not near as bad

cab lights have been on for almost 2 weeks now, i also bought a recon LED bed light kit, and i bought a du-ha receiver caddy today as well and the no drill bracket which will be here tomorrow, if it ever stops raining and being shitty i will get some pics, the tail lights are still on factory backorder, so it could be a couple more weeks yet, if i didnt like the recon ones so much i would buy some from anzo or ipcw but they all look like shit
