Not much of a build yet, but its a work in progress. As progress continues I will updated with dyno sheet's, time slips and pictures.

I purchased the truck in July of 2010 and it looked just like this.

I decided i didn't like the stickers so a heat gun and a few hours and I had this

I am not fan of the stock lightning tail lights...

So I took the housings apart and painted the inside black.

I also wired the fogs to come on with my running lights

Not satisfied with my stock tails, I went with a tinted set.

I also decided the rear end sat to high, so i removed 1 leaf from the rear leaf pack.

Before

and after
Its hard to tell, as it only dropped about .5"

That has been the extent of external modifications I have installed.
My plans for the summer are to install new clear corners with stealth bulbs, and powder coat the wheels black.

Existing mods are clear corners, 99 lightning grills painted gloss black and a Cobra R hood courtesy of Cervini's.

As far as performance goes, the truck needed very little, but that doesn't stop one, does it?
The biggest piece of performance has been a new 4R100 built by Dante's Modular Performance in San Diego.

And a full billet 2800 rpm stall converter, courtesy of Circle D Converters in Houston Texas.

The install wasn't terrible, but was done on the floor, which is always miserable.

Lightnings are known for wheel hop, and the fact the truck is packing about 560 ft/lbs of torque, I decided to get that taken care of. I had a local shop fab up some long bars for the truck. They are also tied into a drive shaft loop.

You'll notice in this picture I will be tearing into the rear end soon to fix a leaky seal

In this picture you can kind of see the exhaust that was on it.
It had bassani short tube headers, bassani catless mid pipes and flowmasters.

The tail pipes didnt clear the bars as you can see here

And over all I thought the truck was too loud.
as noted in this video

So I took it to Randy's Custom Exhaust and had a new magnaflow muffler installed with new tail pipes.

Here is a shot of what came out

The truck is much quieter I think

Up for install this summer is a new transmission cooler

And a stock upper pulley along with a new tune from Amazon Tuning Solutions

And thats it for now.
Long term plans are a forged bottom end, ported heads, cams, and a Magnum Powers blower.

the rear end is done with a detroit locker, new gears and a rebuild kit. The trans is done.

a full mod list of the truck is

Only one pic works. Sorry man.
Hmm I see all the pics. :dunno:
I copied the thread from another site, and it reformatted the code. I fixed it, so he probably saw the thread in fucked up form.

Wow.... Truck looks really good!

That hood is badass!
Thanks, i think so too, until the sun hits me from behind. The hood has a 4"-5" flat edge that the sun catchs and goes right in my eyes
