I was just saying cause my brother wanted the link for this and I couldn't find it in the section I thought it would be...

If we didn't have a search function or if I didn't post in it 100 times by now I would have never found it.

Idk how independant the testing was since gm paid them.

I have a hard time believing that AMCI would put their 30 year reputation in the field of independent automotive testing on the line for something so petty.

They have been commissioned by every major auto maker at one time or another because they are the real deal.

I didn't like the way they casually let the Cummins slide out of most of those tests. I would like to see the results even if it won...

I read (but have not confirmed) that a POSSIBLE reason as to why the Ram was left out, is because of it's substantially lower payload and towing ratings. Essentially, you can't safely load the Ram they had at the time of the unbiased and independent tests to the same level as the Chevy and Ford.

I'm surprised there wasn't a rep from each manufacturer there.

I also wanted to see the Cummins in those tests they left it out. I could have sworn in one video they said the payload was 16,500 for the Dodge and that is why they limited it to just that. I also wanted to see the Dodge because that is what my dad's next diesel is probably going to be. His work truck has the big cummins and he loves it compared to the 6.0 powerstroke in his previous work truck. Of course, he is gonna keep his perfect condition 7.3L as long as he can.

I really laugh because a buddy's dad switched from a big Dodge Cummins to a 4wd 5.4L gasser 250 Ford and is liking it more. I thought he was just getting senile, not so much anymore. :jester:

Just got the new Four Wheeler magazine, and they had another INDEPENDENT test with all three manufacturers involved (3/4 ton Crew Cab 4x4 diesels), and guess what......their results were different. Ford 6.7 - 1st, Ram 6.7 - 2nd, GMC 6.6 - 3rd. The test included towing identical toy hauler campers up and down steep grades, unloaded highway driving, and offroad driving. So, I guess it all comes down to what you are wanting out of the trucks as to which one will come out on top in any given comparison.

I looked for a link, but don't see the story online yet.......if you want to read it, pick up the new magazine, I guess.
