What did you do to your truck today?

Drove it as usual the last couple days. Gave it a good exterior detail yesterday, and waxed it as well. Boy does it look nice again, and wouldn't ya know it a bird shit right on the windshield today

Changed the oil in it for the first time. Impressions: Not much room between the skid plate and oil tub to fit a hand and wrench to get the plug out.. Plugged drains on the oil tub can make a mess. Top mounted, cartridge filters are AWESOME! Unlike the Sierra, this thing actually takes 6qts.

Drove it to work where the battery decided to die and not charge enough to start the trick yet still enough to test good

Sounds more like a weak starter or bad cables to me.

got it traded out and it started right up. this is the same thing that happened when i got the last one in july of 2009

Two years of battery life is not normal. I'd be taking a really careful look at the entire system, checking for good cables, good ends, good grounds, proper voltage regulation, alternator output, etc. Just my 2 cents.
