With all the problems people have been having with the plugs, Ford has changed the design by now right?

fWONK it all. Having my cousin tow it to the dealership, he has a friend that will change them for 200.

Such a headache, first 3 came out great and it all went to hell after that. Next one broke and left the porcelain in, I don't have the right sockets for the lisle to work and every place is closed now.

Damn it! I think I will just take it to the stealer. Company truck.

Sorry to hear this man!

Reviving Trent's thread.

Mine finally gave up the ghost today. Backfiring, CEL, etc. They said it will need plugs.

It is at the dealer right now.
How many miles does it have?

Man this totally blows! Sounds like Ford dealerships are making a killing on spark plug changes. I would think I would have to let mine in until they needed to be changed.

What is the recommended change interval for the spark plugs?

I pulled a set of plugs out of a friends 05 suburban with 156k on them and they looked great besides the .080 gap.

If I had a ford with those spark plugs I would be trading it in on a newer truck before having any issues.

That's ridiculous, my guy guaranteed me $350 at most out the door. If he broke them he had the tool to remove them, now if they got stuck in the heads and he had to remove the heads he'd add more

I do agree it's ridiculous

That's crazy that these plugs are so bad, you would think that in a difficult time like this for manufacturers they would want to do right by their customers and at least foot the bill for their faulty design.

I am waiting for one of the Hemi owners on this site to chime in about changing plugs though. I don't know much about the new technology so it might have hit all the manufacturers now (hell it might even be on my truck, with 8,000 miles I gas & go don't dig in the engine yet) but the Hemi's have 2 plugs per cylinder with the COP crap, when I looked for my 08 plugs and wires for parts only was roughly 600.
