I'd buy another boat before a Harley.

B-Bail
O-OUT
A-Another
T-Thousand

I love them but they are bigger money pits than Bikes.

Knock on wood, mine has been trouble-free for years. I don't really recall any major issues with any boats we've owned over the years. Most of them were new when purchased but my pontoon was a few years old. I guess I've just been lucky.

My dad bought his in 93. We have used it 100 of times with no issues. He takes really good care of it. But it seems that once things start going it's down hill fast. Then in the end no one wants to buy a ratty old fiberglass hull with no trailer. Then you are forced to cut it up with a chainsaw and put it in the trash barrels one bag at a time.... Trust me.

Do it, I have been saving pennys for a while now hoping to upgrade to a street glide. Yes Harleys are more expensive up front but in the long run when you go to sell it they break even or are less expensive than metrics. Harleys hold their value forever. Maybe living in their home state has something to do with it but 10-15 year old bikes are selling for 5k less than new.

I guess I'm just not the HD guy. I've ridden quite a few friends bikes and they always felt like they weighed 2000 pounds. Nothing sporty or thrilling about them except for the sound to me. I really don't like how they vibrate like they are going to fall apart when you are stopped at a light. I guess that's a Harley fan thing.

That said - some Harleys are frikkin beautiful to look at and I love that sound!

The wheel size doesn't bother me, it's that little ricer-looking rubber band on it. Maybe it's just the angles but it looks way to thin.
