Do it. I have had everything from crotch rockets to cruisers. The bike I buy and keep will be a harley. They are the best to just get out and ride all day. I could not ride for 8 hours on my katana. Thats one of the reasons I got rid of it. Very nice bike.

I hear you there. I may go look at this pup today, there is one at a dealer 40 miles away. The only ones in town are black.

I just can't get over the price tag on these things. It is beyond rediculous.

Tell me about it. I go look at them at the dealer and they are untouchable for me right now. I will keep riding my old metric bikes until I can afford one.

They don't get any cheaper with age, either.

Harley is crazy. Their prices are insane and you can buy a better built bike over at the Honda / Kawasaki / Yamaha / Suzuki store for half the price.

They better HOPE they can keep people interested in buying that brand name.

They will. They are the all american motorcycle. I have ridden new honda's, triumphs, kawasaki's and a variety of others. None compared to a Harley IMO. The ride, power and over all comfort does not compare.

I am well aware of the price vs value of the whole thing, and have been riding longer than many members here have been alive. I always talk myself out of buying a Harley, and I go through this every spring

MEH. If you want comfort, there are several cruisers that blow away a Hog. No way in hell I'd pay up just for the Harley name. If they weren't priced about 60% OVER retail I might consider one.

I have nothing against the metric cruisers but I have yet to find one that fits my build better than a harley. My Mom sold her Harley for a metric bike. It's all personal Preference.
