I have been thinking about looking for a cover for my truck, the thing sits most of the week in the parking lot at work just collecting dust. I was thinking a nice cover would help keep it cleaner while I'm not driving it.

Anybody have any companies to look at for a good cover?:dunno:

For the price of covers nowadays I think you can get almost one kind an not have to worry if it doesn't last a lifetime.

Wolf covers. I have had a 3 layer cover on the truck for 8 yrs.
It's wearing out so I'm getting to order a 4 layer cover this time for the truck and mustang.
Car and truck both for about $550.

You really only want to put a cover on a clean truck or it will scuff the paint when you are taking it off / putting it on / or when the wind whips it. They work best indoors.

As clean as you keep your trucks, it might work fine. Is yours outside all the time or is there a covered area to park?

The inside layer is soft so it doesn't damage the paint. Rolling the cover up when taking off keeps it from sliding on the paint. The covers are also fitted and don't move a lot in the wind. During heavy winds I'll take mine off because the wind has blown it off. The dust and dirt it was collecting did more damage in one year to the paint, then the 8 years with the cover.

My truck is outside all the time, the fallout down here is pretty bad. I rolled in here last night with a spotless truck, I mean so clean I wanted to kiss the paint. Now less than 24 hours later there is a layer of dirt/dust all over it. It's disgusting when you spend so much time to clean it then bam, it's all fucked up.

Yep, I know that feeling all too well. :(

I'm not much help other than good covers aren't cheap.

The cover I have for my truck cost me $30, but I'm only using it for winter storage which is indoors. It is fine for my purpose, but I don't think I could leave one (any cover) on all the time.

Whatever you get, get a good lock with it!!! A covered vehicle is a good target for a break-in or vandals. It might make you stand out more than it is worth.

I'll be interested to see what you find!!!

Break ins and vandals are far from a worry down here. You have to get passed 2 separate armed guards to get to my truck. It's just the damn dirt and dust and crap that is in the air.

Maybe I didn't come across like I wanted to in the first post. I was saying that as clean as Jarrod's truck is, the cover would be good and that putting a cover on a dirty truck could cause issues.

As clean as you show up with it, a cover could be a good idea. Cover it and keep all that industrial crap off of it.
