How MUCH is gas in your area?

I had thought of taking a road trip out west and then up the coast to Washington...
But I may change my mind....that would be $100 a day (or more) for fuel...

Coming back from up North today, I stopped just South of the border to fill up the rental and it was $3.71 / $3.81 / $3.91 <----this is getting insane!

You got that right...
On a hard days running... I can go thru close to 40 gallons a day.
At close to 4 bucks a gallon... that would be close to $150 a day for fuel...
I can't really afford two weeks of that...plus all the other expenses of the trip, like rooms and eats.

A two week trip would be between $3,000 and $4,000 bucks, by the time it is all said and done.

That would be close to a 7,000 mile trip.

Every once in a while though, a gas price spike brings out the magic gas for our amusement.

Went up to $3.45, $3.47, $3.65.
